A solid weight bench makes an excellent addition to any home gym setup, and we think the Ironmaster Super Bench and the Powerblock Sport Bench are both great options to consider.

If weight capacity is the top priority on your search for the perfect weight bench, then the Ironmaster Super Bench is the better option for you. It has a maximum weight capacity of 1000 lbs compared to the Powerblock’s 550 lbs weight capacity.

The two benches also differ in their angle adjustment mechanism. The Ironmaster Super Bench has a very practical and unique ring mechanism with a foot-lever to adjust the angle between 11 levels.
The Super Bench is a NO-GAP weight bench by design. There are three seat positions, and the minimum backrest length is 31-inches when the seat is in the highest position.

The Powerblock, on the other hand, has a wide gap between the seat and the backrest when it is in a flat position. It supports flat to 30°, 45°, 60° degrees and also military-position which is about 85° degrees (5 levels).

At the end of it all, both models are solid options and have much to offer. Depending on your priorities and your budget, both models are worth considering.
